The Myth That You Can't Train Legs at Home
Many people believe serious leg training requires a commercial gym. That's simply not true. With the right equipment, you can build powerful quads, hamstrings, and glutes from your home gym — and often with better focus and less waiting than at a public gym.
The Equipment You Need
For a complete leg workout at home, you'll want:
- Aznolt® 4 in 1 Leg Extension Curl Machine — for isolated quad and hamstring work
- Aznolt® Adjustable Dumbbells 60 lbs Set — for goblet squats, lunges, and Romanian deadlifts
- Aznolt® Adjustable Weight Bench — for step-ups and Bulgarian split squats
The Complete Home Leg Workout
1. Goblet Squat — 4 sets × 12 reps
Hold a dumbbell at chest height. Squat deep, keeping chest tall and knees tracking over toes. Best quad and glute builder for beginners.
2. Romanian Deadlift — 4 sets × 10 reps
Hold dumbbells in front of thighs. Hinge at hips, lower weights along legs, feel hamstring stretch, then drive hips forward to stand. The best hamstring exercise you can do at home.
3. Leg Extension — 3 sets × 15 reps
Using the Aznolt® 4 in 1 Leg Extension Curl Machine, sit upright and extend legs to full lockout. Isolates the quadriceps for definition and strength.
4. Leg Curl — 3 sets × 15 reps
Lie face down on the machine and curl heels toward glutes. Directly targets the hamstrings — a muscle often undertrained in home gym programs.
5. Bulgarian Split Squat — 3 sets × 10 reps each leg
Rear foot elevated on the bench, front foot forward. Lower until rear knee nearly touches floor. Brutal but highly effective for unilateral leg strength.
6. Standing Calf Raise — 4 sets × 20 reps
Hold dumbbells at sides, rise onto toes, hold 1 second at top. Simple but essential for complete lower leg development.
Programming Tips
Train legs 2× per week with at least 48 hours between sessions. Increase weight by 5 lbs every 1–2 weeks as exercises become easier.
