Why Maintenance Matters
Home gym equipment is a significant investment. Proper maintenance not only extends the lifespan of your machines but also ensures every workout is safe and effective. Neglected equipment can develop squeaks, resistance issues, and in worst cases, structural failures that create injury risk.
Adjustable Dumbbells
The Aznolt® Adjustable Dumbbells 60 lbs Set requires minimal maintenance but benefits from regular care:
- Wipe down handles with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and oils
- Check the selector dial mechanism monthly — ensure it clicks firmly into each weight setting
- Store in the provided tray, not on the floor, to protect the locking mechanism
- Avoid dropping — impacts can damage the internal weight plates
Treadmill
The Aznolt® Foldable Treadmill requires the most regular maintenance of any cardio machine:
- Weekly: Wipe down the belt, deck, and console with a dry cloth
- Monthly: Check belt tension — it should have 2–3 inches of lift in the center
- Every 3 months: Lubricate the belt with treadmill-specific silicone lubricant
- Annually: Inspect all bolts and tighten as needed
Exercise Bike
For the Aznolt® Magnetic Exercise Bike:
- Wipe down seat, handlebars, and frame after each use
- Check pedal tightness monthly (left pedal has reverse thread)
- Inspect the resistance knob for smooth operation
- Lubricate the seat post and handlebar post annually
Rowing Machine
For the Aznolt® Magnetic Rowing Machine:
- Wipe the rail and seat roller after each use
- Check the handle cord/strap for fraying monthly
- Inspect the foot straps for wear
- Store in a dry environment to protect the magnetic resistance system
Power Cage
For the Aznolt® Power Cage with Cable System:
- Inspect all bolts and connections monthly — tighten any that have loosened
- Check the cable for fraying or kinking every 3 months
- Lubricate the cable pulley with light machine oil annually
- Wipe down the steel frame to prevent rust in humid environments
